The incident happened at the Vorst Nationaal on Tuesday, Nov. 29 close to end of Machine Head's set. From the fan-filmed video footage (see below) shot at the show, Demmel's bandmates didn't seem to notice he was hit and continued to perform their 1994 song 'Davidian.'
Machine Head is currently out on tour in support of 'Unto the Locust,' the Bay Area group's seventh studio album, which was released this past September. Demmel first played with Machine Head vocalist/guitarist Robb Flynn in late '80s thrash favorites Vio-Lence. He joined MH in 2003, in time to play on the band's critically acclaimed 2004 album, 'Through the Ashes of Empires.'
