Evanescence to Play Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Norway
Chapman Baehler
The Arkansas rockers will take the stage Dec. 11 in Oslo, Norway, at a concert honoring two Liberians -- president Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and women's rights activist Leymah Gbowee -- and Tawakkul Karman, a pro-democracy activist from Yemen, according to Blabbermouth.net.
Evanescence, who recently released their long-awaited third major-label album and are gearing up for a brief January tour of the South, will add a dash of brooding emo-rock angst to an already diverse Nobel lineup. The 18th annual concert is slated to include British light-rock fave David Gray, country duo Sugarland and Matthew Morrison from 'Glee.'
Can't afford a flight to Scandinavia? CNN International will stream the show at 8:00PM CET on Dec. 11.
