Dying Fetus Confirm Big Tour, Reveal Forthcoming Album Title
Josh Sisk
Dying Fetus have confirmed that they will be a part of Metal Alliance Tour in 2012.
The band will be heading out across North America with DevilDriver, The Faceless, Job For a Cowboy, 3 Inches of Blood, Impending Doom and Wretched. The tour kicks off March 15th in Austin, TX as a part of the SXSW Music Festival and runs through April 21 in Houston, TX. A complete list of dates can be found below.
Dying Fetus has also entered the studio to record their seventh studio album. The band will once again be working with longtime producer Steve Wright (Slipknot, Misery Index) at Wrightway Studios in Baltimore, MD.
The album will be released in mid 2012 through Relapse Records and will feature nine tracks and a "return to roots" production style focused slightly more on slam than it has on the band's last few works. Thematically, the album is set to be a good old-fashioned piece of social and political commentary in the style of Dying Fetus as we have come to know. The band has released a teaser video revealing the title of the album which can be seen below.
Dying Fetus will be playing a series of special South American shows set to take place in mid-January. The band has also been confirmed for next year's prestigious Maryland Deathfest and France's Hellfest.
