The Amity Affliction is an Australian post-hardcore band from Gympie, Queensland formed in 2002. Signed to Roadunner Records, the sextet specialize in a songwriting style that is one moment hyper-melodic and machete-sharp the next. After releasing two successful EPs and their debut album, 2008's 'Severed Ties,' the next couple of years touring and gaining a huge fanbase in their native Australia.
Last year The Amity Affliction travelled to the States to work on a new album with producer Machine (Protest the Hero, Lamb of God). 'Youngbloods,' the group's sophomore album, was just released by the group's new label, Roadrunner Records.
