KISS Launch Beer and Wine Line
Rewine
The icons are now in the lucrative alcoholic beverage market. But if you want to enjoy KISS-branded libations, such as a Zin Fire Wine or Destroyer Beer, well, you're going to have to head on over to Sweden -- at least for the time being. The private label beverages are only available there now and will spread to other countries later this year.
"This isn't just something we put a label on. We wanted wine and beer unique to KISS and we got it, said Paul Stanley. "This stuff will set your taste buds on fire."
The fact that KISS have their own line of alcoholic drinks is ironic since bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons has been a lifelong teetotaler. "I've never been high or drunk in my life," said the Demon in a 2007 interview with TV Guide, and has also been vocal about his ex-bandmates Ace Frehley and Peter Criss' battles with alcohol addiction. But this new wine and beer venture isn't even the first time KISS have celebrated the bottle. Their 1974 eponymous debut album featured the now classic hard rock drinking anthem, 'Cold Gin.'
