According to the El Paso Times, Paz told investigators that it was her intent to seek revenge on her parents, whom she believed were trying to kill her on Christmas Day, by burning down their abode. Paz poured Super Glue, which is incredibly flammable, on a bed and lit it on fire. She set fire to curtains in another room, causing a further blaze. According to an affidavit, Paz said she broke into the home and had been staying there for a few days. She remains in jail after being charged with a felony charge of arson of a habitation.
So how do Manson and NIN factor into this mess? Well, Paz believed that her parents, along with a neighbor, were planning to sodomize her and then chop her up. Paz says that she learned of the plot through the music of Manson and Nails.
This is familiar territory for Manson, although this is a much smaller scale. His music has long been associated with the Columbine tragedy of 1999.
