Godsmack Singer Sully Erna Undergoes Knee Surgery, Tweets Photo
Godsmack fronttman Sully Erna took to Twitter yesterday to reveal the details of a recent knee surgery. He admits his post-op leg is "not pretty," and photos bear that out, but in dealing with the longstanding sports injury, the Boston rocker enlisted some top-notch care. He'll be rocking stages -- and maybe even knocking down jump shots -- in no time.
"Up until now, [I] never had a stitch, never broke a bone," Erna tweeted. "Plus I had the team specialist for Boston Celtics Dr. Brian McKeon do the surgery. He's the best! Now I'm in sports rehab. And this is the guy that's gonna make me strong like bull again! Haha I'm Avatar baby! Watch me go."
He'll need his strength. Godsmack is slated to hit the road this spring with Staind, and speaking last month with the Boston Herald, he said the Beantown rockers are gearing up to record a collection of cover tunes.

No word yet on where or when those will surface, but a live DVD, shot in 3D last month at Boston's Wilbur Theater, is due out later this year. The concert will also air on the cable network Palladia.
