Tonmi Lillman Dead: Former Sinergy Drummer Dies Aged 38

The Finnish musician started playing at the age of nine. He was performing live by the time he was 14. Lillman was actually born Tommi Lillman but changed his name to Tomni in 2004.
A gifted musician, Lillman also played guitar, bass and keyboards. He served as drummer for the 2009 Dimebag Beyond Forever tour and was an active studio musician. He was talented behind the soundboard as well, mixing and recording for many bands including Lie in Ruins, Rage My Bitch, Fear of Domination, myGrain and many more.
Lillman cited jazz fusion drummer Dave Weckl among his many influences.
In addition to his musical abilities, Lillman was also an in-demand graphic designer. His work included album cover art for various bands and web work. The members of Lordi hired Lillman to design stage background images for a European tour.
