Like Moths to Flames Are a Band of Brothers Out on Tour
Charles Epting
"First of all," he said, "it's such a different collection of bands. Everyone's sound is so different that it brings out many different kinds of fans and that's great because we all get to have new audiences every night of the tour. For us that's been pretty special."
Roetter also said that the tour has been a chance for band chemistry to really develop. "In a van, traveling like we do, it's important that we all get along. But something about this tour has really brought us closer. Maybe it's the fact that the scenery has been so amazing and so different than where we come from. The deserts, the mountains - some really beautiful places and experiencing a trip like this as a band has been amazing for morale. Yes, it helps that the crowds and show have been great, that merch sales are up - but it's the morale that's really important to a band."

Roetter's not kidding - and his theory will be well-tested as Like Moths to Flames gears up for its next run - a fairly intense East Coast tour that pairs them with Texas in July, The Air I Breathe and several other bands - and concludes with a performance at the big Bamboozle festival May 20 in New Jersey.
"The road definitely has its challenges but but we've all become like brothers out here. We'll fight sometimes but we've got each others back and no doubt, the more we tour, the closer we'll get, and the stronger the band will become."
