Linkin Park Want You to Impersonate Them in Viddy Video Contest
Warner Bros.
Viddy's new Linkin Park Production Pack enables fans to create their own 15-second music videos using innovative special effects and five new Linkin Park soundtracks, produced by the band exclusively for the app. While the Viddy app itself is available as a free download in the Apple iTunes Store, each individual Linkin Park Production Pack retails for $0.99 or all five may be purchased as a bundle retailing at $1.99. As a special promotion, Linkin Park is giving away one production pack for free. The Packs can be purchased through the Viddy marketplace, accessible through the app. Download Viddy for free at this link.
In addition, Viddy and Linkin Park are offering fans the chance to win an autographed guitar. To enter the contest, users must create their own Linkin Park band member impersonation and then upload to Viddy for submission. The band will personally choose the winning submission and will announce the contest winner on Facebook on March 22. View contest details here.
"We're always looking for innovative ways to connect with our fans and Viddy provides a new and exciting creative outlet," says Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park.
"From Incubus, to Snoop Dogg and T-Pain and now Linkin Park, Viddy has seen an amazing adoption by some of the world's top artists!" notes Viddy co-founder, Brett O'Brien. "Linkin Park, one of the world's most popular bands brings an element to Viddy that very few mobile app communities have. I can't wait to see who wins the autographed guitar!"
