Shifty Shellshock Coma: Crazy Town Vocalist Hospitalized in Los Angeles

Former Crazy Town singer and "Celebrity Rehab" star Shifty Shellshock is in a coma at an L.A. hospital's Intensive Care Unit. According to TMZ, he has been there since last Thursday and remains completely unresponsive.

The 37-year-old singer, born Seth Brooks Binzer, has a history of drug use and addiction and appeared on the reality television programs "Celebrity Rehab" 1 and 2 as well as "Sober House" 1 and 2. Though it is unclear what landed him there, those close to the musician suspect it was drug-related.

Binzer was scheduled to appear in court for a pre-trial hearing this week following an arrest for cocaine possession on Feb. 12. Binzer's former Crazy Town bandmate Adam Goldstein (aka DJ AM) also struggled with substance abuse, which led to his death in 2009.
