Oedipus Singer Says 'Burn It Down' Was Inspired by His Former Day Job

With so much success coming their way overseas, Oedipus are setting their sights on America with the release of Vicious Little Smile, the power trio's third studio album.
Check out a stream of "Burn It Down," a killer track off the band's new album which is in stores now.
Listen to "Burn It Down" From Oedipus
"All musicians start out with day jobs, and most come with bosses that you hate. When I wrote that tune, I was working in a kitchen, sweating over 14 burners and being yelled at on a regular basis by an incredibly lackluster, ill-tempered chef who I wanted to stab. I don't see him anymore," Oedipus bassist/vocalist Jeremy Haffner told Noisecreep about "Burn It Down."
Def Leppard fans should take notice, since Phil Collen appears on Vicious Little Smile, lending lead and rhythm guitars to the track "Final Machine."
Oedipus will be out on tour in May with Zero 1, featuring Hal Sparks. Visit oedipusband.com and Facebook for all of the tour dates.
