Metallica Set for Outside Lands Fest, The Acacia Strain Announce New Record Deal + More

Metallica and Foo Fighters will appear at San Francisco's Outside Lands Festival. So will Stevie Wonder and Skrillex. That's what we call eclectic. The food is supposedly top notch, too. Good eats + good music = happy rockers. The fest takes place Aug. 10 through Aug. 12, with tickets going on sale April 19. Who's going? [Spinner]

Cyber metal warriors Fear Factory have issued an apocalyptic, man vs. machine-themed trailer for The Industrialist, their upcoming album. It'll certainly psych you out for the album, which drops June 5. We've heard the future and it sounds like The Industrialist. [YouTube]

New Jersey noiseniks Dillinger Escape Plan may be releasing an EP before they issue their next full album. Guitarist Ben Weinman tweeted the proposal to fans, posting: "So anyone think Dillinger Escape Plan should put out an ep before we release an LP? Maryland death groove superstars Dying Fetus have shared the first in-studio video from the Reign Supreme recording process. This vid centers on the drum tracking.
