Malice, 'New Breed of Godz': '80s Cult Metallers Return (SONG PREMIERE)
Freeman Promotions
After signing with Atlantic Records, Malice went on to release two albums (1985's In the Beginning..., 1986's License to Kill) before breaking up (An EP called Crazy in the Night, featuring two session vocalists, was released in 1989, posthumously).
Fast forward to 2012 and Malice are back in fighting shape with a new lineup and album in tow. Original members Jay Reynolds (guitars), Mick Zane (guitars) and Mark Behn (bass) have teamed up with new singer James Rivera (Helstar, Seven Witches) and new drummer Pete Holmes (Black N´Blue) to re-record some of their classics plus four new songs. The results, an album called New Breed of Godz, will hit stores on June 19. But why wait till then?
Today, Noisecreep has the exclusive premiere of "New Breed of Godz," the title track to the new Malice album.
New Breed of Godz was produced by fellow Los Angeles veteran metaller Joe Floyd of the band Warrior. Floyd has also worked on records by Bruce Dickinson and Rob Halford. The new Malice album will be packaged in a beautiful digipak casing with an extra DVD featuring rare live 1987 footage, three live tracks from the band's 2011 appearance at Keep It True Festival in Germany and a "Making of" documentary.
