Alice in Chains New Album, Confession Singer Fires Entire Band + More

In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Alice in Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell spoke about the band's next album, the follow up to Black Gives Way to Blue. He said, "It's time to get to work and the material is really interesting, the body of work that we've done," Cantrell said. "It'll be as different as any one of our records is to any other, and it'll also be just as recognizable. It's an Alice record, for sure." We can't wait to hear what the grunge legends come up with. Dying Fetus debuted the new song "Second Skin" and it's what you'd expect: groove-laden death metal. The song appears on Reign Supreme, which will drop June 19 via Relapse. That's the same day that Justin Bieber's new album lands, but Dying Fetus would likely fry his liver for lunch. [Revolver]

Kreator launched the first audiovisual taste of Phantom Antichrist via video trailer. It includes commentary from producer Jens Bogren (Opeth, Katatonia, Soilwork), guitarist Sami Yli-Sirniö and vocalist/guitarist Mille Petrozza, plus in-studio footage from the recording sessions. Drama alert! Confession frontman and band founder Michael Crafter has booted all the members from the Aussie band, except himself, of course. Turns out, they were trying to kick him out but he found out and turned the tables. About the ousters, he said, "My band tried to part ways with me without me knowing. I have decided to part ways with all members of the band. Confession is my brain child. In the future me and Dan Brown will work together on songs for another record. This is just the beginning.
