Crossfade Call on Their Fans for 'Dear Cocaine' Collaboration (INTERVIEW)

"If you just look at its title, you would probably think it's just about addiction, but there is so much more to it than that," Crossfade vocalist/guitarist Ed Sloan tells Noisecreep about "Dear Cocaine," the South Carolina group's latest single. "The song is really a cry for anyone who wants to get rid of the things that are toxic in their life. It can be a person or a thing, a drug – anything. I think that's why the song has resonated with so many people already."

"Dear Cocaine" comes off We All Bleed, Crossfade's latest album and first on Eleven Seven Music. For the release of the single to radio, Crossfade is asking their fans to become a part of the experience and share their own obstacles and struggles through video and photo messages to create a video collage for the song.

"We didn't write "Dear Cocaine" to shock people with its title. In the end, we want to help empower people with this song. We've never want to be a gimmicky band," says Sloan.
