The Dogs Divine Sell Their Soul to the Devil on 'Hell Wouldn't Have Me' (VIDEO)

It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog." That phrase seemed so appropriate that The Dogs Divine have titled their second album Size of the Fight. Founded in 2007, the Springfield, Ill. the quartet dug deeper into their hard rock and metal roots for their new album.

"We didn't worry about genres or trends, we just wanted to write something that had all the elements of a great rock album" says vocalist Tom Hart. After their first label, Chavis, went under, The Dogs Divine found a new home at Mortal Music Inc., the label owned by Tim King of SOiL. The bassist apparently heard a demo of a track from the album called "Hell Wouldn't Have Me" and was sold immediately.

"The song was inspired by the movie Crossroads. It's the classic tale of selling your soul to the Devil for fortune and fame playing music. The longer I am in the music biz the closer I am becoming to going down to the crossroads and checking out what all that is about," Hart told Noisecreep about the track.
