Slash to Receive Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

We're going to put money on the fact that Slash's former bandmate and frontman Axl Rose won't be on hand to help the guitar god celebrate the honor.
Slash is being honored with a star, since he "is widely considered one of the greatest rock guitarists of all time," said Ana Martinez, producer of the Hollywood Walk Of Fame ceremonies. Martinez continued, "We are proud to place his name among the stars on our fabled Hollywood Walk of Fame."
To celebrate the unveiling of his star, Slash will also perform a private acoustic show and engage in an exclusive Q&A with vocalist Myles Kennedy, the singer on his new album Apocalyptic Love, at the Hard Rock immediately following the dedication. So the festivities will continue after the star is revealed. That's rock 'n' roll for ya! KLOS 95.5 in Los Angeles will give away tickets to the afterparty.
Furthermore, the Hard Rock has also created special, limited edition pins to commemorate the occasion. Only 300 of the pins will be produced at sold at the Hollywood Hard Rock location. Proceeds will benefit the Youth Network in L.A., as well as the Hollywood Historic Trust, which is responsible for maintaining the Walk of Fame.
Now millions of tourists can walk all over Slash...in the best way possible.
