Vocalist Elliot Coleman has left djent metallers TesseracT. "Sadly, our good buddy Elliot has decided to leave team TesseracT. We'd like to thank Elliot for everything he has done for us. We have loved having him be a part of this beast. He introduced us to a completely different side of our sound, as well the delights of Pho! Things we will always be grateful for. So, as well as continuing to write and record album 2, we are also on the hunt for that special (shpecial) person to be the new full-time TesseracT vocalist," said the band in an official statement. Want to hear "March to the Sea," a new track by that metal wrecking crew known as Baroness? Well you can, as it's online and ready to hit your ears. It is the second song to drop from Yellow & Green, which lands in its entirety on July 17 via Relapse. The song will also be available on iTunes tomorrow, so if you like what you hear, support good metal and nab a copy for your iPod or whatever digital listening device you prefer. [Pitchfork]
KISS frontman Paul Stanley is scheduled to appear on CNN this Thursday, June 14, at 10:40AM ET. That's early. We're surprised the singer wakes at such an early hour, even for national TV coverage and exposure. Stanley will chat with anchor Carol Costello regarding the summer concert season and the much-anticipated The Tour with Motley Crue, which launches on July 20. Have a little breakfast with Paul Stanley on Thursday....if you dare. [Brave Words]
Agnostic Front will be taking part in the upcoming CBGB Festivals with their brother band Madball on July 5 at Webster Hall in New York City. Murphy's Law and Maximum Penalty will also appear. That's some classic late '80s and '90s hardcore right there. By the way, did you hear that Alan Rickman will play CBs owner Hilly Kristal in the upcoming film about the famed (and shuttered) Bowery club? Ashley Greene of Twilight has signed on to star as his daughter, Lisa, as well. [Via Press Release]
Christ crushing death metallers Deicide have announced a smattering of fall tour dates for November. We're going to assume that there are more dates to come, but right now, it's set for November and to hit secondary markets. [Lambgoat]
