In just three years, the band released two records (Between the Never and the Now and Sisters of the Red) before calling it quits in early 2006. Between the Never and the Now was produced by the late Jerry Finn (Green Day, Blink-182) and debuted at #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart.
For the past few months,Vendetta Red has been in the studio with producer Terry Date (Pantera, Soundgarden) working on their fifth studio album titled, Scripture. The band already has 11 songs recorded and in anticipation of the release, has revealed a brand new song called "Close To Me". The song is currently streaming on the band's official Facebook page.
Vendetta Red just finished up a tour with Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready and his band Flight to Mars, a UFO tribute band that McCready does to raise awareness and money for The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America. Now, Vendetta Red will play a number of fan favorites as well as debut some new material on this year's Vans Warped Tour. The band will be playing the Tilly's Stage on August 4 in Seattle, WA, and August 5 in Portland, Ore.
Vocalist Zach Davidson adds, "We feel truly privileged to be able to reach out and play for our fans again. Kevin Lyman has always been an inspiration to me as well as a huge supporter of underground music, so we are honored to play warped dates this year. We will be playing a mix of material from our older records as well as brand new songs that I'm really proud off- hope to see all you out there!"
