Leander Rising: Hungarian Rockers Chase the 'Ghost Away' in New Video (PREMIERE)
Leander Rising
Noisecreep is pleased to make the introduction to Leander Rising, thanks to this live video of the song 'Ghost Away,' filmed in the fall of 2011 in Budapest.
The clip was filmed at one of the band's first big shows and it was completely sold out! Leander Köteles, the band's singer and bassist, spoke about the song 'Ghost Away,' saying, "The more you try to live a pure and good life, the more 'ghosts' try to pull you back. Sometimes it's really hard to resist these 'ghosts,' but if we do, it makes us better and stronger. That's what 'Ghost Away' is about."
As for how the band plans to make the leap from Eastern Europe to the U.S.? It's not as daunting as it might sound. "Having our roots and coming from Eastern-Europe could make things much harder for us, but on the other hand it could also lead to want succeed more than others," guitarist Attila Vörös, who plays live with Nevermore, told Noisecreep.
"Getting the Nevermore gig through MySpace and YouTube in 2010 showed me that nothing is impossible if you are dedicated and resolute in what you believe in, and if you are willing to sacrifice anything and everything for your goals. Though you always need a little bit of luck at the end, but then there's the chance that you can have some dream come true story become real in your life which make it all worthy. That's exactly how it feels releasing our debut record in the U.S."
Leander Rising's Heart Tamer will be available digitally on July 17 via Sony Music.
