Randy Blythe Prison Update: Prague Court Doubles Bail

Lamb of God singer Randy Blythe may be a step closer to getting released on bail in Prague, where he's been incarcerated since June 27 on manslaughter charges. Then again, he might not.

According to MetalSucks.net, a municipal court in the Czech capital has dismissed the prosecutor's efforts to deny the singer bail. Unfortunately, the court has also doubled bail, so the imprisoned rocker will have to come up with another $200,000 -- an amount that was likely hard enough to raise the first time, since it's what he earns in a a year.

Even if Blythe does pony up the extra cash, the prosecutor are permitted to file another complaint, meaning Blythe might not be leaving his jail cell anytime soon.

On the bright side, Blythe doesn't seem to be suffering too badly behind bars. He recently gave his first interview since being arrested and charged with causing a fan's death back in 2010, and while the text has been translated from a Czech news source and is therefore less than exact, there's reason to believe the frontman is in good spirits and keeping himself occupied.

"I read, I write letters to friends and family, and I'm also allowed to write in a diary," Blythe said. "I think I'm getting along very well with the other inmates."

He also denied blame for the 2010 incident -- which he says he can't remember -- and said he's grateful from the support he's received from the people in his life.

"Seeing my beautiful wife was beautiful and encouraging," Blythe said. "I've received messages and support from family and my bandmates, who are all missing me. I can't wait to see them all again."

Blythe evidently doesn't hold a grudge against the city, and should he make bail but be forced to remain in Prague, he'll "look at the sights" and "go wherever Kafka went and eat dumplings."
