Ronnie James Dio's Widow Remarries

Congrats are in order for Wendy Dio.

Two years after metal icon Ronnie James Dio's death from stomach cancer, his widow and former manager, Wendy, has remarried. The former Mrs. Dio wed boyfriend Omar Gimenez at a private and somewhat low-key ceremony that was held in Montecito, California this past Sunday, September 9. The news was revealed via the wedding planner's Twitter account.

Dio died on May 16, 2010, at the age of 67, and ever since, Wendy Dio has worked to keep her husband's memory alive in the media and the metal community. Niji Entertainment Group -- a company Ronnie and Wendy had conceived before his passing -- has been releasing a steady stream of Dio-related albums and also material from other artists.

Congrats to Wendy and Omar on their nuptials. Noisecreep wishes the the newlyweds all the best.

Damn right that you forgot--on purpose! That phony lived with Omar for over twenty years before they finally got married. She tried to con RJD'S musical peers and fans since the announcement of Ronnie's illness. Hey, Neil, stop kissing her saggy ass! It would be nice if someone FINALLY had the BALLS to call this witch out about all her lies!

You forgot to mention the fact that she & Omar have been together for over 20 years. Glad to see them stop living the lie. Now RJD is truly free!
