Stone Temple Pilots were reportedly two hours late to last night's (September 17) gig in Abbotsford, British Columbia in Canada, taking the stage after 11PM. Several fans had already bounced by the time the band showed up, having grown fatigued by having to wait for them. Those that remained grew increasingly restless and greeted STP, who offered an apology but no explanation for their unfashionable lateness, with a chorus of boos.
Now, tonight's (September 18) show in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada has been canceled, per the venue's website. A reason for the cancelation was not provided.
While these instances would seem to indicate that there is some intra-band stress or strife, which is not uncommon for STP, there were unconfirmed reports of singer Scott Weiland and guitarist Dean DeLeo playing paintball at Richmond Indoor Paintball yesterday afternoon.
