Stone Sour Reveal Touring Bassist, Deftones Unveil Album Cover Art + More News

Stone Sour have revealed that Johny Chow will serve as the bassist on their upcoming tours for the House of Gold & Bones double album. Former bassist Shawn Economaki split with the band last year. Guitarist Josh Rand posted the following update:

Dear Friends, I am pleased to announce that Johny Chow will be playing bass guitar with Stone Sour on the House Of Gold and Bones Parts 1 & 2 tour cycle. Johny is a fantastic player and a long-time friend of the band. We are all excited to have him be part of what will be our most exciting and ambitious album cycle yet. [Facebook]

Deftones have shared the cover art for their upcoming album Koi No Yokan, which is out on November 13. It's sparse and minimalist, with a black background but it also has a futuristic vibe and reminds us of some of the stage backdrops the band used a decade ago on tours supporting The White Pony.

Lamb of God are seeking submissions from enlisted men and women for their upcoming U.S. tour. The Virginia metal behemoths are looking to include images of members of the military in a video tribute. The presentation will be directed by LOG guitarist Mark Morton and the band's longtime videographer Doug Spangenberg, and will be seen by tens of thousands of fans over the course of the band's road trek. Below is their call to action and directions for submitting:

Lamb of God is looking to honor the brave men and women of our United States military by incorporating soldier's names and faces into a video presentation during their upcoming U.S. tour. If you are in the military, or have a husband, wife, brother, sister, friend or family member who has served or is actively serving, and wish to be included in this video tribute, please take a moment to send a photo to logvideocontent@gmail.com.

Please keep the photos under 2MB and include the soldier's name, military branch, and a brief description of where the soldier is serving or has served.
