Sons of Azrael's Joe Siracuse Dies: Singer Passes Away at 29

Joe Siracuse, singer of Buffalo, N.Y. metal band Sons of Azrael, has died unexpectedly. He was just 29-years-old at the time of his passing.

Details and the circumstances surrounding his death are unavailable at press time, according to Lambgoat.

This is the second tragedy to befall the band in the past year. The news of Siracuse's death comes just days short of the one-year anniversary of guitarist Tony Lorenzo being shot in the back during an armed robbery. Lorenzo was ultimately paralyzed from the waist down.

Lorenzo was mugged at 10:30PM on October 26 in Buffalo's Elmwood Village. At the time, Lorenzo spoke about the incident, saying, "The kid asked me, he said, 'Give me what you got.' And before I could even get my wallet out, he just shot me. I was robbed. I can't feel my legs right now."

It's called underground/extreme metal (to keep it simple). It's underground for a reason, as the mainstream has no idea what to think of it (other than mock it). People always mock or make fun of what they do not know.

Maybe they should take a hint, this definitely isn\'t music (I have worked in the music industry for the past 40 years and I know) it is a lot of yelling and screaming.

You are an idiot, since this type of music has been around for over 30 years. Check out Venom, Bathory, Motorhead, etc. to see where a lot of modern metal came from. I'm amazed aol actually took the time to mention this.

And of course all you mention are the vocals. Vocals do not make up all the music. And answer me this, what should the vocals sound like anyway? With this kind of music, would you acutally expect someone to be singing? This is aggressive music, that requires aggressive vocals. Sounds like to me 40 years went down the drain, since you're discredting a form of music that has been around so long. Know your history!

it has been proven that people of those times were experiencing things they did not have the mental capacity to comprehend...thus a religious and way to try and steer people into being good, cause lord knows people generally want to do what feels good, no matter who it hurts these days, and well all through history, being kind to one another and helping one anther was too hard for certain people who needed power to boost, well their egos and make them feel good, all this stuff, human nature goes on to day, and you certain people saying the world is coming to an end, and all that mess, do nothing but scare people, we now know as we have learned..the key word now is learned, that volcanoes and floods and "natural disasters happened to these people, who didn't know any better, now, that is key too, didn't know any better, that the end of the world was upon us, the thing people don't do is treat others as you would want to be treated, you want what others have, you think you need all these things to be a big man or a fabulous woman, this is where people have gone wrong , so don't give me that crap about the end of the world, so sick of you religious nut jobs talking about this, when nut jobs like you talk about stupid things such as this, I have to explain it to my kids , you need to worry about your own souls

this is mainstream news, try again AOL and Huff post, no i don't see the irony of a religious and this heavy metal, probably drug user person, whom I have never heard of. You should get educated, and put away that religious mumbo jumbo, that crap does no good for any society as history has shown us, take care of your own, and hope no manic doesn't harm us all with atomic weapons and wars "these men of power" seem to want to put the people of the world through...get rid of all dictators and tyrants, and we should all dang sure make sure who we are electing into office, cause these bozos aren't doing their jobs at all, you religious nut want to try and start some more fear...you are a nut job, and you types we should be weary of too
