Muse Cover Deftones Again, Anvil Are Going to 'Hell' + More News

While performing in France on Monday night (Oct. 22), Muse covered the Deftones stomper "Headup." There's video footage of about 50 seconds of the British band ripping through one of the best songs on the Deftones' 1997 Around the Fur album below.

In an interview earlier this year, Muse drummer Dom Howard compared dubstep to heavy metal: "We went to see Skrillex and we went, 'Fuck, it's so heavy!' It was like a full metal gig – they had circles of death. People were moshing. I hadn't seen a reaction like that to electronic music before."

Anvil will follow up 2011's Juggernaut of Justice with Hope in Hell, which is due to land in the spring of 2013. The Canadian thrash legends have a new bassist named Sal Italiano, who replaced Glenn "G5" Gyorffy earlier this year. The album is Italiano's recorded debut. [Vh1 Classic Radio]
