Aerosmith Pre-Election Day Party: Rockers to Perform on Undisclosed Boston Street
Ross Halfin
The legendary rockers haven't given the exact location of the performance, only saying that they'll be showing up somewhere in the city, around noon, and play on the streets. Aerosmith are being secretive about the show's location because they're cooperating with authorities who want them to hold off till Monday morning to help insure crowd safety.
The group hope that the performance helps get the message out to their fans to go out and vote. Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry says, "Anyone who votes a Freedom Fighter," which is also the name of a track on their forthcoming album, Music From Another Dimension!, which hits stores the day after the street performance.
Aerosmith are also set to return for the second leg of The Global Warming Tour launching Nov. 8. The month-long, 14-city arena tour will bring them and support act Cheap Trick to New York City (Madison Square Garden), Los Angeles (Staples Center) and Las Vegas (MGM Grand Garden Arena), among other cities.
