Finch Reunite in Southern California (PHOTO EXCLUSIVE)

In 2007 they reformed and played a historic show at the Glass House in Pomona, Calif., but then they disbanded again in 2010. Finch made a lot of people happy when they recently announced a run of shows to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their seminal debut album, 2002's What it Is to Burn.
The handful of recent shows back at the Glass House sold out almost instantly. Since then, the band has added shows throughout the United States and will also be traveling to Europe in March. See all of the announced dates below.
As they prepared for the first set shows in Pomona, Noisecreep had the chance to speak with guitarist Randy Strohmeyer. As he explained us, "It blew us away to see the kind of interest there was in these first shows. We have the most awesome fans and even though this band takes these really long breaks the fans always seem to be there for us and we are just so thankful. We are not quite sure where this is all going to lead. It's all been happening very fast but it certainly makes us think that maybe this is something we should be doing more. Speaking for myself, I'm totally anxious to get back with the guys and get back up on stage."
Noisecreep was in the house on Saturday, Feb.2 for Finch's second show. As announced, the band was to play What it Is to Burn entirety before closing the set with several other tunes. Simply put, this was one of the more exciting shows that we've seen in a long time. Before a completely packed house the band took the stage just before 10 o'clock in a cloud of dry ice smoke and a candy colored light show.

Finch took the devoted crowd on a joyous ride into the night, with all of the group's trademarks firmly in place. Tight hooks, anthemic sing-alongs and some truly masterful musicianship made for a memorable night. Singer Nate Barcalow was in both excellent voice and stage form. Some may forget the influence that this band has had on so many bands over the years. But not the Finch fans. The majority of the crowd hung on every lyric and sang every song with gusto and abandon.
If this show is any indication of what the rest of the tour will be like, we will not be surprised at all to see Finch once again become a mainstay in the genre they helped create. We had a chance to take a special band portrait just before the show that we happily include here.
If Finch is coming anywhere in your town in the next several weeks, we cannot recommend this concert enough. Whether you're familiar with the music or not, don't be surprised to find yourself knowing each song about halfway in. The riffs are just that solid and the songs are just that strong. Welcome back, Finch.
