Rubey said, "Hey guys, wanted to make everyone aware that I'll be staying home for a portion of our current tour with AILD to take care of my newborn. Samuel Penner from For Today will be filling in for the time being and we're very glad to have him. I'll be back as soon as possible, and I hope you all can go check out a show! Thanks." [The PRP]
Gallows guitarist Stephen Carter has left the English punk band, once the most buzzed about band in the U.K. He will not be replaced. The group simply said, "We will be moving on as a four-piece like the early days." Carter's brother Frank was the band's vocalist and he split in 2011, so the band is now Carter-free.
Katatonia have released their video for "Lethean" from Dead Kings.
After 24 years as a unit, Swedish band Vomitory are disbanding. They will finish out the year and then call it a day. Their statement on the split is as follows:
"After 24 years, eight albums and hundreds of live shows across 30 countries, we have finally come to the end of the road. We in the band- Tobias, Urban, Erik and Peter - have made the collective decision to end Vomitory by the end of 2013. It has been a blast on all accounts, but all good things come to to an end, and for Vomitory it is now. We will still play as many shows as possible during 2013, and we hope to see as many of you fans as possible there, so we can thank you for your true support during all these years!" [Blabbermouth]
