At Noisecreep, we're big fans of Paris-based pop punk favorites Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! - and so it's a great pleasure for us to be premiering their new track, "The Best Is Yet to Come." The song comes off their much-anticipated album, Pardon My French, which drops April 30.

Here's what frontman Bertrand Poncet told us about this killer new track: "This song was inspired by personal experiences. We wanted to talk about how good it could be to draw a line on your past, and start your life with a fresh clean slate!"

So without further adieu (see what we did there?), we're happy to share "The Best It Yet to Come' to get your weekend started right.

Two-time Grammy nominated Skillet are set to release their new album, Rise, on June 25. The lead single, "Sick of It," was released on iTunes and radio on April 9 and in the meantime, the band has released a short teaser video of the track (seen below).

Noisecreep spoke with Skillet frontman John Cooper about the anthemic new single and the rest of the album, too!

John, how do you feel just before new work is released? Do you get nervous?

I do. But I also get very excited. With 'Sick of It' in particular, I feel great about the song and I feel very happy with the sound of it, the mix - everything. I know what it's like to be a fan of something and everyone has their expectations and so as an artist, I absolutely get a few butterflies about how people will react.

Young Guns are on fire.

The British band's "Bones" single went to number one at Active and Mainstream Rock radio, Kerrang! named it the number one song on their list of the 250 Best of 2012 and they are nominated for a Revolver Best New Talent Golden Gods award.

Currently on the road with Bullet for My Valentine and Halestorm, Young Guns seem poised to keep climbing as the year progresses, with lots of touring and an infectious, winning way onstage as Noisecreep was fortunate enough to witness recently at their show at the Fox Theater in Pomona, Calif. on April 19.

Before the show, Noisecreep also had a chance to sit down with Young Guns singer Gustav Wood and guitarist John Taylor to talk about the bands' impressions of America and what the rest of the year holds.

Dream Theater keyboard wizard Jordan Rudess is pushing the boundaries once again. He has just teamed up with PledgeMusic to help launch a pair of new projects: an orchestral composition, "Explorations for Keyboard and Orchestra," as well as a solo piano album, Explores.

For "Explorations," Rudess will be creating an entirely virtual orchestral experience, bringing some of the world's best instrumental players into the studio to create both an audio and visual collaborative piece.

His solo piano album will be created as a completely interactive iOS app experience in addition to being made available in a CD and digital download format. As has been described, listeners will be able to use gestures to interact with the audio and visuals and create their own versions of his music.

Rudess of course will be offering some amazing perks for getting involved with the new projects, including a chance at a private in-home performance by the master himself.

Noisecreep caught up with the obviously busy musician to chat about the new projects.

This coming Saturday, April 27, the annual Metal Jam benefit for the organization Autism Speaks will be taking place at the Gaslamp in Long Beach, Calif.

Metal Jam is the passion project of Jeff Fahnestock, a SoCal-based musician whose autistic son reacts and positively responds to certain Black Sabbath songs. Hosted by KNAC's DJ Jordan West aka The Junkman, the benefit will feature local musicians performing a pre-selected list of heavy metal classics from the likes of Dio, Megadeth, Rush and many others.

Besides the live musical performances, Metal Jam 2013 will also feature a raffle giving away some incredible memorabilia. Derek Riggs, the artist who created Iron Maiden's iconic "Eddie" character, designed the event's t-shirts which feature an original "Eddie" design, and a new lithograph which he will be signing at Metal Jam for just a $20 donation.

Noisecreep caught up with Fahnestock, Riggs and West (left-to-right in the photo above) in Huntington Beach, Calif. a few days ago to learn about the event and its important cause.

What do you get when you cross a legendary metal shredder with metal's hippest burger joint? The Berzerker Burger!

Last Saturday, April 20, Black Label Society leader Zakk Wylde was on hand at Grill 'Em All in Alhambra, Calif. to unveil the heart-stopping behemoth burger. A select few fans joined Wylde and got to meet the metal legend, take photos, hear a special acoustic set also featuring BLS guitarist Nick Catanese, and choke back a Berzerker.

Grill 'Em All recently opened their restaurant after their now-famous food trucks simply could not handle the demand. As Noisecreep reported before, Grill 'Em All has paid homage to many hard rockers on their menu before by naming extreme burgers for them - there are custom burgers dedicated to Dee Snider, Municipal Waste drummer Dave Witte, Napalm Death and a host of others - but never before had the artist ever been on hand to dedicate the burger he actually helped create.

So how has life been for Halestorm after winning the Grammy for Best Hard Rock/Metal performance earlier this year? For starters, as Noisecreep learned backstage in Pomona, Calif. this weekend (April 19), they haven't even received their award statue yet!

One of the hardest working bands in the business, after winning the coveted award Halestorm did what they always do: they hit the road.

Currently on tour as special guests for Bullet for My Valentine, Pomona stop of the trek was textbook Halestorm. Charging through a set that of course included the Grammy-winning "Love Bites (And So Do I)," newly minted anthems "Here's to Us," and "Rock Show," and of course their dark ballad and fan favorite, "Familiar Taste of Poison," Halestorm electrified the crowd and made it all look easy.

Noisecreep was honored to sit down with vocalist/guitarist Lzzy Hale and guitarist Joe Hottinger before the show and chat about the tour, their thoughts on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and their first concert experiences as kids.

It was no shock to see a line around the block at the Fox Theater in Pomona, Calif. this past Friday evening (April 19). After all, British metal giants Bullet for My Valentine were headlining the joint along with Halestorm, Young Guns and Stars in Stereo supporting.

Bullet for My Valentine have been on yet another tear this year after the release of their highly acclaimed album, Temper Temper, and while it's hard to believe that a few of the dudes in the band have been playing together for 15 years, they still go out and get it done with the passion and energy of an act that just signed its first record deal.

Before the show in Pomona, Noisecreep had a chance to hang out backstage with Bullet for My Valentine vocalist/guitarist Matt Tuck and talk about the fan reaction to the new album and his teen years. The room was a bit darker than we would have liked, but Noisecreep still managed to get the interview down on video for you.

As the frontman of Foreigner, Lou Gramm became one of the most durable and recognizable singers on the planet. His ability to belt hard rockers, while at the same time possessing this skill and soulful tenderness to deliver softer ballads, truly made Gramm a force to be reckoned with.

In the late 1980s, Gramm also found gold in a solo career before reconnecting with Foreigner in the '90s. After battling rock 'n' roll demons including drugs and alcohol, the_thumbnail.gifted singer then faced his biggest challenge ever: a brain tumor that was so serious, he was basically given a death sentence by his doctors. But Gramm never gave up. He found a specialist who performed an operation that saved his life, and today, Gramm is back and healthy again, ready to tell his story.

In his new book, Juke Box Hero - My Five Decades in Rock 'N' Roll, Graham takes the reader on an incredibly personal ride that is honest, brutal, funny, and quite frankly, one of the best rock 'n' roll autobiographies Noisecreep has ever read.

Gramm still tours today with his own band - he needs to keep rocking - ain't never gonna stop - and it was a sincere and privilege for Noisecreep to be able to speak with him about Juke Box Hero, which comes out May 1.

The Lawrence Arms formed back in Chicago in 1999. Since then, the melodic punk power trio got five albums under their belt and have toured continually. But it's been a long time since that last record (2006's Oh! Calcutta!) and Noisecreep was lucky enough to recently catch up with the guys in Los Angeles before a highly anticipated one-off show they did at the legendary Viper Room.

So in the alley behind the building we hung out for a while before the show and got all caught up with bassist/vocalist Brenden Kelly and guitarist/vocalist Chris McCaughan on where the new record is at, the direction that it's heading and how these longtime pals got started in the first place.

Several days ago in Las Vegas while Noisecreep was visiting the Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy Camp, we had the pleasure of running into Lita Ford. The legendary bombshell rocker (and former member of the Runaways) was participating as a counselor at this edition of the camp which also featured appearances by all five members of Def Leppard.

On Saturday (April 6), Ford hosted the camp Q&A with vocalist Joe Elliott, guitarist Viv Campbell and bassist Rick Savage from Def Lep. During the session, a comment came up about some pictures that Elliott had recently emailed to Ford.
We asked the "Kiss Me Deadly" star if she would share the full story with Noisecreep, and so here it is!

Noisecreep recently visited the Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy Camp in Las Vegas and we brought you a story about a nine-year-old shredder named Benjamin Bluestein. The pint-sized guitar slinger from Atlanta was back in Sin City this past weekend (April 6) to pay a visit as Def Leppard visited the legendary camp.

As you probably know, Def Leppard has been playing an extended residency at the Hard Rock Hotel and it's garnering all the raves you would imagine. The British rockers seem simply rejuvenated, on top of their game and playing with the sort of wild and youthful enthusiasm that reminds a lot of us why we fell in love with these guys in the first place.

Noisecreep thought it would be a fun idea to bring together one of hard rock's legendary axemen, Def Leppard's Phil Collen, to meet Bluestein and give the young guitarist some tips. Just the day before we did this, Def Lep front man Joe Elliott (along with guitarist Vivian Campbell and bassist Rick Savage) jammed onstage at the camp with Bluestein on "Rock of Ages" and seemed totally blown away by the kid.

They are one of the fastest rising bands on the UK hard rock and metal circuit. They are the Sheffield-based quintet called While She Sleeps, and they have just arrived in America for their very first tour of the States. In fact, a couple of the members of the band have never been here at all and as Noisecreep learned recently, they couldn't be more thrilled to be here.

While they will certainly be getting a dose of our country on this summer's Warped Tour, While She Sleeps recently kicked off a coast-to-coast run with Aussie greats Parkway Drive.

Noisecreep had the pleasure of speaking with While She Sleeps singer Lawrence Taylor before their recent show at the House of Blues in West Hollywood, Calif. The band had just finished walking around Hollywood Boulevard and doing all the fun and touristy things like putting their hands in the cement at to see how theirs measure up to the celebrities in front of Grauman's Chinese Theatre.

Lawrence told us about what he is planning on doing while here in America, as well as the music that got him interested in being a singer in the first place.Ho

Stone Sour is back and with a vengeance. Their new album, House of Gold & Bones - Part 2, arrives April 9 and it is the second installment of the group's House of Gold & Bones two-part concept album.

We've heard it at Noisecreep and it is a monster; a deep, dark, heavy duty crunch and burn metal classic. Stone Sour is also releasing a companion comic book series inspired by the album and written entirely by singer Corey Taylor. As well, the band is on the road this spring playing shows that will include a performance at the 5th annual Revolver Golden Gods Awards being held May 2 at Club Nokia here in Los Angeles.

We had a chance to speak with Taylor and as usual, he didn't disappoint. He's a great storyteller and just as passionate in conversation as he is on stage, whether he's fronting Stone Sour or that other group you may know him from, Slipknot.
