Jeff Hanneman (Slayer)

In early 2011, Hanneman contracted necrotizing fasciitis, a flesh-eating disease, from a spider bite. Slayer was forced to bring in a temporary guitarist for their touring obligations, but Hanneman is on the road to recovery. The 48-year-old has since returned to the stage, performing with the band during a few Slayer encores while he gets back to feeling 100%.
