'Seventh Son of a Seventh Son,' Iron Maiden (1988)

Inspired by Orson Scott Card's 'Seventh Son' fantasy novel, this acclaimed Iron Maiden album was really only a half-concept album, dealing with stock "good vs. evil, heaven & hell" type imagery in broad terms, although some songs, like the epic title track, 'Moonchild,' 'The Prophecy,' and 'The Clairvoyant' point the way toward more coherent, cinematic aims. Maybe someday. The Maiden empire is surely huge enough to make it happen.
