James Hetfield (Metallica)

Metallica frontman James Hetfield makes our list because he looks better today than he did two decades ago. A ton of money and better living probably doesn't hurt, but we like to think Hetfield's metal star helped him rise along the hotness chart. As a guitarist and songwriter, Hetfield reigns supreme at the top of our list for creative talent. After all, the guy is one of the founding fathers of Metallica. Back in the Black album days, Hetfield rocked long hair. Then came the Some Kind of Monster rockumentary drama days, and Hetfield became short haired and pensive. The short hair stuck and now we can't imagine James any other way, especially when he's clad in a black T-shirt, Flying V slung low across his front.
