6. Memphis May Fire

"I’d been talking to the dudes in MMF for a while about doing a shoot, and while I was doing Vic Firth shots at Warped Tour, they walked by my set saying “damn… I wish we knew you were here! We gotta do a shoot for AP!”. I mentioned I was going to the CT show AND they had a day off after that… so we lined up a two-day shoot with the majority of the shooting in CT. We found a spot behind the venue with some unused barricade, and I wanted to get some fun shots of them (which they previously had not done in their career). I thought it would be cool to have them all behind the barricade with Matty being fan-girled (which actually happens VERY often on Warped Tour) but this time, by the band. I set up a parabolic left and right for key lights and a main beauty dish to really bring out color while separating them from the background. I had one taking a photo, the other one stealing his glasses, another trying to rip off his vest, and another trying to get a ticket signed, and this was absolutely my favorite shot of the set, and one of my favorite band shots I’ve ever taken."
