20. Thrice (farewell)

"When Thrice had announced they were disbanding after a final tour, I immediately lined up a photo shoot with them, as it would likely be my last chance to shoot them. I wanted to do something I hadn’t done before at the Webster. We set up two parabolic key lights and a boomed dish main, I got low to the ground and shot vertical to really bring in the depth of the room, and get the ceiling in there while avoiding the VERY blue walls that actually surround us in that room. I dragged the shutter at 1/6 to bring in the ambient lighting above them while still keeping sharp."
