Nikki Sixx

The Motley Crue bassist took his stage name from another L.A. musician named Jeff Nicholson who was using it under the spelling of "Niki Syxx" in a band called Squeeze in the late '70s. Nicholson isn't bitter about the move saying in an interview, "I publicly acknowledge that he is truly the real Nikki Sixx, for all intents and purposes. He is more "Nikki Sixx" than I ever was!"
