Halestorm, 'I Get Off' -- Video Premiere
You might say 'I Get Off' has some sexual overtones, but the band decided to take a whole other approach with the supporting clip. "We didn't want to go so literal with the lyrics," explains singer and guitarist Lzzy Hale. "We made it a little creepy, a little rock n' roll performance-wise and some acting too. It's a great video and I'm excited for it."
Acclaimed rock photographer Phil Mucci directed the clip. Shot in a New York City warehouse, the band filmed for 18 straight hours. The concept is simple: Lzzy is a smoking hot rock n' roll queen easily able to outwit the police, despite her bogus arrest. Lzzy is most excited for the small stuff. "No one will ever be able to see this in the video, but they made up a statement I had to sign explaining why I am being arrested. It's an entire list of things like 'excessive rocking,' 'for harboring musicians over state lines,' and all this stuff. It's awesome, actually."
