Attack Attack! Frontman Quits

In what some might call the first sensible career move dude's made, Attack Attack! frontman Nick Barham has quit the Ohio-based Crabcore collective. According to Barham, he made the move on Oct. 19, just days before the band was to embark on a headlining run with I Set My Friends on Fire, Miss May I, Our Last Night and the Color Morale.

For now, it seems guitarist Johnny Franck will handle clean vocals for the band, with keyboardist Caleb Shomo taking over death growls.

In a personal blog post, Barham said he "was talking to all the dudes in Attack Attack! and decided that I was going to quit the band. There's no beef between us. It was just time for change. But for right now, I'm going to be going out with my brothers band Sleeping With Sirens, just to keep busy. I will be starting something new soon, so keep an eye out for it."

Back in 2008, when Attack Attack! released its debut LP, 'Someday Came Suddenly,' the band fired ex-vocalist Austin Carlile, just ahead of the band's tour with Maylene and the Sons of Disaster. Attack Attack! Are said to be working on material for a new record due out next year.

Attack Attack! have yet to comment on Barham's departure, and a publicist for the band could not be reached for comment.
