Korn Announce Some Details for 2010 Ballroom Blitz Tour

They've been working on a new record for months now, one the band claims will be an old school return to their signature sound. So, it stands to reason that Korn would tour this spring to drum up some interest in the album they've nicknamed 'Korn III: Remember Who You Are.' This week, Korn revealed that, before hitting the road on this year's Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, they'll be doing their own thing with openers 2Cents and they're calling it the Ballroom Blitz Tour.
So far, just nine dates have been announced. The tour kicks off May 2 in North Myrtle Beach, S.C., and then hits Charlotte, N.C. on May 3; Clifton Park, N.Y. on May 6; Hampton Beach, N.H. May 7; Lewiston, Maine on May 8; New York City's Roseland Ballroom on May 11; Scranton, Pa., May 12; May 15 in Milwaukee; and lastly, in Grand Island, Neb. on May 26.
"There is no sitting down on this one! We nicknamed this tour the Ballroom Blitz because that's what we want to see out there, the die-hard Korn fans going nuts on the floor," frontman Jonathan Davis writes on the band's site. Further shows are in the works for Minnesota, North Dakota, Missouri, South Dakota, Kansas and Texas.
Davis also commented on the forthcoming LP. "It was the first time we've worked with Ross since our second album and these were the types of gigs we played back then," says Davis. "Those early tours were some of the best times of our lives. Now we are looking to bring that vibe back in a big way."
