KMFDM Are 'Neck Deep' in New Material, Will Feature Guest Musicians
German industrial music icons KMFDM are in the studio, working on the follow-up to 'Blitz,' all the while promoting the remix companion album, 'Krieg.' The new album will feature guest appearances, too. Frontman Sascha Konietzko told Noisecreep, "We are neck deep in new material, and I am finalizing the last couple of dates for a European tour in mid June. The label is thinking about putting out a 'best of' compilation between here and the summer, too."
Konietzko didn't give too many details about the new album, saying, "It's still coming together, and for the first time in a long time, there will be a slew of guest musicians involved in this album." It's not shocking that an industrial rock band embraces technology to get the job done as well.
"It is a daily routine to upload my day's work onto the server with the guys I am working with, so they can download and continue to work," the German-born and based Konietzko said. "The good fortune is that I am nine hours away from the West Coast, where the participants are. I take my rest and they work, so it's like we get two full work days in a 24 hour frame."
