We Are the Fallen, 'Bury Me Alive' -- Video Premiere

We Are the Fallen

What do you get when you cross former members of Evanescence with a past 'American Idol' contestant? We Are the Fallen, of course. Featuring Carly Smithson on vocals, We Are the Fallen released a remastered version of their debut single, 'Bury Me Alive,' featuring an orchestral outro last month. Today, Noisecreep premieres the official video for 'Bury Me Alive.' The video treatment was conceived by director Kyle Newman and his actress wife Jamie King. Members of We Are the Fallen say the concept was kismet.

"Our whole idea for this video while recording the song was in our minds," Smithson tells Noisecreep. "We never met Jamie nor did we meet Kyle, and the label put out for treatments. Kyle and Jamie responded and sent treatments. It stuck out like a sore thumb from all the treatments we got. It was exactly what we'd thought in our minds. We'd never met them, never talked with them and yet they saw what we saw. It was really, really cool. We were like 'That is exactly the idea we were going for with the video.' It was like we were all on the same wavelength or picking each other's brains or something."

Using the stages of a burial as a metaphor, the video tells the story of a relationship ending after being sold-out or disillusioned.

We Are the Fallen will release their debut, 'Tear the World Down,' May 11 in America via Universal Republic. The band will hit the road with HIM later this month for 28 dates. That tour kicks off March 26 in Philadelphia.

Very well written song. I particularly liked that high note in the bridge leading into the slower breakup and leading back into crescendo. Well done. The end is a little out of character for the song but otherwise,,, loved it. Be careful not to follow into the footsteps of the great "Evanesence" to closely. Try to find your own way and you should kick butt. The band also does a great job backing you. Very good work. John Fichtner

It just shows us how little those idiot judges know about singing, ZERO. I think only one of the winners of american idol has been a hit and that was Kelly Clarkson. Let's see, Daughty, Danny Gokey, Jennifer Hudson, K.McPhee and others that were the third or fourth person's left standing but didn't win, they have gone on to have #1 hits and so far have had good things happening for them. The same can be said for this lady who my wife and I voted for and really liked, now she is on the way to having good things happen for her. Ben Moody was really most of the driving force behind Evanescence. The proof is in the pudding, their first album was great but the second one (without Ben)only had one good song on it. I wish Carly and WE Are The Fallen make it Big and they can produce more then one album. Good Luck.

Carly I loved you on Idol and I know you will be a success! I didn't care for the video because it's just not my type but your vocals and stage presence are remarkable. Good luck with your career, you will go far.
God Bless,
Rainy

I loved the song, loved the video, but mostly love Carly. She is beautiful, wonderful voice, loved her on Idol, have "I'm Gonna Blow Your Mind" got from itunes. Love everything she does, I will buy this album as well. So happy to see her again, she deserve it. Keep it up.
