Uproar Tour Dates With Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold, Stone Sour
Uproar will run for 36 dates and will also offer a second stage, sponsored by Jägermeister, with Hellyeah serving as headliners. That stage will also be populated by Airbourne, newcomers Hail the Villain and New Medicine. A Jägermeister Battle of the Bands winner will open the second stage in each city.
The tour launches August 17 in Minneapolis and will play primarily Live Nation amphitheaters. The tour will end on October 4 in Madison, Wisc.
Uproar producer John Reese views this newly launching fest as the replacement to Taste of Chaos, which he told Billboard.biz has "run its course in America," despite being massive outside of the US. Reese also said, "We were just kind of running out of bands that fit within the profile of what Taste of Chaos was. So rather than trying to beat that horse, we decided to come up with a whole new concept, make it a later summer or fall festival, bring in some cool components." Uproar is not being designed to compete with Mayhem -because that just wouldn't make any sort of sense- but to launch another arm of the brand, with Uproar focusing on more radio friendly, more relatively mainstream bands.
In addition to seeing the bands, fans will also be able shop at various vendors peddling their wares on site. As if that weren't enough, there will also be a daily wrestling tournament boasting the Blue Collar Wrestling Alliance, which is headquartered in Detroit. 245 matches will be held over seven weeks of tournament. The winning wrestler will be crowned 'king' of the tournament, which is undoubtedly a distinction that so many clamor for!
Uproar will be a multi-activity festival tour, offering ancillary attractions like a concourse midway filled with vendors and a daily wrestling tournament featuring the Detroit-based Blue Collar Wrestling Alliance. The 36-event tournament will encompass 245 matches over seven weeks throughout North America. The athlete that perseveres will be named King of the Tournament.
Tickets go on sale on June 12, and can be purchased at RockstarUproar.com, with prices ranging from ultra cheap at $10 to a bit heftier at $69. Dates are below.
