Alice Cooper, Bret Michaels Perform on 'American Idol' Finale
Icon Alice Cooper and guitarist Keri Kelli got things rolling with 'School's Out.' Contestants from this season donned school uniforms and pranced around stage as a leather-clad Cooper wielded his famous cane. Keri Kelli and guitarist Orianthi played the famous riffs, trying to bring a little rock onto the 'Idol' stage.
"It was great performing with the kids," says Cooper after leaving the 'Idol' stage. "I think they were more excited than anyone else on the show. They got to do a song with attitude."
There were other 'rock adjacent' acts, including Chicago and Joe Cocker. Hall and Oates and Janet Jackson also performed.
In the end, it was Lee DeWyze who won the title of American Idol.
