It's no surprise that nu-metal pioneers Korn have been nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance for the song 'Let the Guilt Go' from their 2010 album 'Korn III: Remember Who You Are.' The song is an emotional explosion of energy and aggression that exemplifies the spirit and intent of the new record.

"Our new album, 'Korn III: Remember Who You Are' really means a lot to us," frontman Jonathan Davis told Noisecreep. "It's a return to our roots. So the fact that the Grammy committee recognizes one of our favorite tracks from that album is an immense honor. And, to be nominated alongside Maiden -- well, that makes it even more killer."

Korn have now been nominated for seven Grammy Awards since 1997. They won Best Short Form Music Video for 'Freak on a Leash' in 2000 and Best Metal Performance for 'Here to Stay' in 2003.

Also nominated in the Best Metal Performance category this year are Iron Maiden for 'El Dorado,' Lamb of God for 'In Your Words,' Megadeth for 'Sudden Death' and Slayer for 'World Painted Blood.'

The 53rd annual Grammy Awards will take place on Feb. 13.
