Phil Campbell Miffed About 'Lemmy' Documentary

There's a bit of drama afoot in the Motörhead camp, as guitarist Phil Campbell has expressed his distaste for the documentary 'Lemmy,' which focuses on vocalist/bassist Lemmy Kilmister and his life story/work.

The doc, fully titled 'Lemmy: Lemmy: 49% Motherf---er 51% Son of a B----,' is slated for a theatrical run this January, followed by a DVD release in February. According to RadioMetal.com, Campbell said he is "pissed off" that the doc revolves squarely around Lemmy, despite the fact that the filmmakers followed the entire band around for three years.

"The biggest shot they got of me is laying down to sleep in the bus with 'Family Guy' on the TV," Campbell also said. "The movie's about Lem, but it's really insulting to us. What a bunch of c---s."

It sounds like Campbell may be a little aggravated and a little amused all at once. You never can tell if the Brits are serious or not, with their cheeky senses of humor.

Nevertheless, we saw the doc this past March at South by Southwest, and it was engrossing. If you get a chance to see it and you consider yourself a self-respecting metalhead, don't pass up the opportunity.

Phil, Phil, Phil ......... Uh, the movie is titled "Lemmy", not "Motörhead". I seriously hope you're goofing around about this, because if you're not, as great a guitarist as you are, you probably would be nowhere if Lemmy never hired you in the first place.
