Engrained Like It 'Filthy and Fast' on 'Dead Man's Hand' -- Song Stream
SPV / Steamhammer
Germany's Engrained are the kind of band that wear their influences on their sleeves, but are all the better for it. Engrained boogie like vintage Motörhead, mix in some stripped-down punk riffs in the style of Turbonegro, and bring everything together with metal attitude. On March 22nd, Engrained will release 'Deep Rooted,' their debut album. The full-length was recorded and mixed by Tommy Newton, who has also worked with the likes of Helloween and UFO.
Take a listen to the record's ripping opening song, 'Dead Man's Hand.' As you'll hear, the band wastes no time getting down to business.
"'Dead Man's Hand' is filthy and fast -- just the way we like it. It smells like a sweat-soaked shirt drenched in beer," said Engrained guitarist Schorse. The band was formed in the early '90s in Sarstedt, which is near Hannover, Germany. Their first release was a six-track hardcore disc called 'Capricious' in 1992.
'Deep Rooted' comes out March 22nd on SPV/Steamhammer Records.
