Texas In July Won't Back Down on '1000 Lies' -- Song Premiere

While most of their classmates were busy worrying about what they were going wear to the prom, the members of Texas In July were out on tour, being courted by record labels. Before the band graduated high school, the Pennsylvania quintet had already toured the entire US, sharing stages with Every Time I Die, August Burns Red, and other metalcore titans. If you love mosh-ready breakdowns, brutal vocals, and catchy choruses, Texas In July are probably already in your iPod. It's no wonder Equal Vision signed the group to its legendary roster.

Texas In July's sophomore album, 'One Reality,' will be released on April 26th. Noisecreep has the exclusive premiere of '1000 Lies,' one of the new record's most scorching tracks.

Texas In July bassist-lyricist Ben Witkowski recently told Noisecreep about the inspiration behind '1000 Lies':

"Despite the title of this track, the message behind the song is encouraging and confident. It's about walking through life listening to yourself, becoming what you aspire to be, and discovering your self-governed future that you have created for yourself. It's about not backing down for anything. The progression of this song musically from our first record, 'I Am,' is tremendous. We had a great time writing and recording 'One Reality,' and are extremely excited for the release."

'One Reality' was recorded in Hadley, MA with producer Zeuss (Hatebreed, Shadows Fall) this past winter. The album strikes a winning balance between Texas In July's melodic sensibilities and their hardcore and metal roots.

Starting April 22nd, Texas In July will join Bayside, Silverstein, Polar Bear Club and The Swellers on the 2011 installment of the Take Action Tour. This year's charitable beneficiary is Sex, Etc., the Teen-to-Teen Sexuality Education Project of Answer, a national organization dedicated to providing and promoting comprehensive sexuality education to young people and the adults who teach them.
