Iron Maiden Won't Record New Album Unless All Six Members Agree

Steve Thorne, Redferns

Iron Maiden guitarist Dave Murray told RockNewsDesk.com that the band employs a democratic process when it comes to making new albums. Murray said that the band will only record a new album if all six members of the band want to make one. "It's possible there will be another album, but it's hard to say at the moment," he said. "It definitely won't be next year anyway."

Murray is optimistic, though, saying, "My gut feeling is, once we sit down, if everyone's up for it -- and that's the main thing -- then we'll go for it."

Maiden nabbed a Grammy for 2010's album 'The Final Frontier.' Let's hope that title is only figurative and that the band is rejuvenated enough by Grammy gold to write another album.
