A Pale Horse Named Death Get Evil on 'When Crows Descend' -- Song Premiere
SPV/Steamhammer
A Pale Horse Named Death are the brainchild of Life of Agony drummer Sal Abruscato. The band blends the melodic sensibility of Alice In Chains with the crushing guitar tone favored by Black Sabbath. Abruscato's partner in APHND is Matt Brown, sound engineer and guitarist of fellow New York band Seventh Void. "The chemistry between me and Matt is unique and flawless, [which is] very rare in today's music. We are the murdering evil version of Lennon and McCartney," Abruscato recently told Noisecreep.
A Pale Horse Named Death will be releasing their highly anticipated debut album 'And Hell Will Follow Me' on June 14th in North America via SPV/Steamhammer. In anticipation of the release, Noisecreep has teamed up with the band to bring you the world premiere of 'When Crows Descend Upon You,' one of the record's sickest tracks.
"It all started after I watched Alfred Hitchcock's 'The Birds' in its entirety," says Abruscato. "It inspired me to make a twist on his story and write the song 'When Crows Descend Upon You.' The lyrics deal with a character that has a black soul and these crows, which are the devil's minions, come to take it him away. It's a great horror type story."
APHND are also a force to be reckoned with live, with shows and festivals already planned in both the US and Europe. Alongside Sal and Matt, the live lineup also features guitarist Bobby Hambell [guitars, Biohazard], Johnny Kelly [Type O Negative, Seventh Void] and Eric Morgan on bass.
